Fit for the Future Convention- 28 - 29 January 2020
For the third year in a row, this popular event will take place in Loughborough. The Fit for the Future Convention provides you with the chance to learn, network, debate and discuss with peers from the sector.
The event provides a full day’s content with networking opportunities throughout the day and over dinner.
The programme will cover:
- Economic efficiency - revenue growth, innovation and productivity and less reliance on public funding;
- Social value - contributing to society and the issues it faces and being more inclusive and representative to get more active;
- Environmental accountability - resource efficiency and providing for the future regarding facilities, open space and ensuring the great outdoors are a safe place to be active

Community Sport and Recreation Awards Ceremony- March 2020
For over 20 years, the Community Sport and Recreation Awards have been showcasing the positive impact of grassroots sport in local communities up and down the country.
These annual awards recognise the programmes and initiatives associated with our members and help to raise awareness of the value of grassroots sports and recreation in the UK.

This programme will run across the whole year and will include a series of workshops and webinars which will focus on how you can improve governance practices within your organisation.
The programme will draw upon The Principles of Good Governance for Sport and Recreation and will include:
- Role of Director and the Board- Advanced
- Role of Director and the Board- Basic
- Sporting Landscape for New Directors- Webinar
The GTP will take place in various locations across England and you can access our webinars online. We will continue to add more training opportunities in the areas which you have identified as important to you and your organisation.
Members can access workshops at significantly reduced rates and webinars are free. Full details of all the training opportunities are available here.
Our Summit Series is a new roundtable discussion bringing likeminded people from across the sector together to discuss policies and issues. There will be 5 events as part of the Summit Series, which will be free to attend for Alliance members. We have chosen the topics based on your feedback over the past year; however, if you have a burning issue that is not listed below, and you would like it to be considered for a future Summit Series, please let us know.
Each Summit Series will take place from 10:00am-1:30pm and will include a working lunch. We are pleased to have the Summit Series hosted by Saffery Champness.
