The strategy 'A United Voice for Sport and Recreation' is the result of an enormous amount of work that has taken place to ensure the Alliance remains well-placed to meet current and future needs of members. In the 18 months preceding publication of the strategy, we conducted a comprehensive Member Review and alongside this, we held a series of roadshow events – SRA On The Move – across the country, giving the Alliance the opportunity to speak to members and absorb feedback on our plans.

On publication of the strategy, the Sport and Recreation Alliance CEO Lisa Wainwright MBE said:
“As CEO of the Sport and Recreation Alliance, I’m incredibly proud to publish this new strategy, especially in our 90th anniversary year, which builds on our rich history while demonstrating a clear desire to evolve and strengthen our ability to deliver for our members in the future.
This strategy will allow us to continue to be a strong, independent voice for the sport and recreation sector - we are excited for the opportunities ahead and look forward to working with our members and partners over the coming months and years.”
