About the Role

The purpose of this role is to work closely in Surrey, Dorset and Hampshire and work with local education provision to support employers and deployers with identifying current and future skills needs and providing training solutions to support them. You will engage with other local agencies within the local area to support the development and implementation of the local skills strategy. You will with local colleges and CIMSPA Academy providers, providing a curriculum that supports local employer need.

The role of Skills Hub Manager will sit within CIMSPA’s Local Delivery Team. The Local Delivery Team is responsible for the management and growth of CIMSPA’s external stakeholders – these include employers, deployers, and key local strategic organisations. You will grow CIMSPA’s partner and membership base, engaging with a diverse set of employers and deployers and develop our existing relationships with employer partners, higher education partners, national governing body partners and active partnerships. You will also promote engagement with local colleges through their educational offering.

• This is a remote role.
• It will require substantial travel within the local area (in agreement with your line manager).
• It will require occasional attendance (approximately every 6 weeks) at CIMSPA’s Head Office in Loughborough.
• Ideally the successful candidate will live in the areas to be covered or close to them.

Key Responsibilities

Employer partner engagement
• Engage with employers in Surrey, Dorset and Hampshire area to understand their people’s skills requirement to meet their objectives.
• Work with local colleges and the CIMSPA Academy to provide appropriate and cost-effective training that meets the employer needs.
• Develop the CIMSPA employer partnership network in a localised area.
• Drive CIMSPA partnership and membership through local employers.
• Through the employer partnership network, develop a local skills strategy that delivers against employer needs and Sport England’s “Uniting the Movement Strategy”.
• Ensure contractual partnership obligations are met.
• Understand key drivers for each individual partner and tailor the service offered to exceed their expectations.
• Act as the single point of contact for other partners in the localised area and develop relationships accordingly.
• Engage with employers to secure student work placement opportunities.
• Be able to represent CIMSPA at industry events across the UK.

Sub Training provider partner engagement

• When required, identify CIMSPA training provider partners to support in the delivery of college courses.

Business development
• Provide feedback to CIMSPA on common sources of issues / questions from the partner network and make recommendations on how products / services can be improved.
• Collaborate in new product development to support the strengthening of wider partnership and membership services.
• Provide feedback on the quality assurance process to ensure continual improvement.
