Active Adults Equalities Lead

We are seeking to recruit an individual with purpose, passion and integrity to join our Active Adults team. As Equalities Lead, you will use your skills, knowledge and experiences to help drive forward priority areas of work across Active Adults and ensure that we better consider, include and advocate for those who experience the greatest inequalities which prevent them from being more active more often.

Hours: 22.2. hours per week Salary: £28,371 - £32,909 p.a. pro rata (actual £17,023 - £19,745), depending on skills and experience (NJC Spine Points 14-22) Contract: Fixed term to March 2025 (with potential for extension subject to funding and open to flexible working arrangements/secondments) Greater Manchester Moving is the Greater Manchester charity committed to changing lives by inspiring a healthier future in Greater Manchester through moving more, physical activity and sport.

The person appointed will be driven to make a different to the lives of people and the places in which they move. You will be someone who loves working with and alongside others and understands the power of collaboration. You will be able to use your skills and experiences to connect, support and lead change across sectors, organisations, and communities, as well as uniting people from diverse background to create the conditions to enable active lives for ALL adults and achieve the ambitions set out in the ten-year strategy, GM Moving in Action.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing Active Partnership team working with a network committed to making positive change through physical activity, sport and movement. You do not have to have a background in physical activity or sport but just be passionate about the difference you know it can make to people’s lives. This is a part-time role with the core days of work being between Monday to Friday.

Occasional evening/weekend work may be required. Other arrangements such as a secondment would be considered. We have permanent office space in the House of Sport in Manchester, and regular team and co-working days in venues across Greater Manchester, blended with homeworking.
