Sport Manager

The English city of Birmingham will play host to the 2022 Commonwealth Games taking place from the 27th July – 7 th August. Commonwealth Games England is the host association for the Games, Page 2 of 4 alongside key partners Her Majesty’s Government represented by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, Birmingham City Council, The West Midlands Combined Authority and the Commonwealth Games Federation. Commonwealth Games England will work very closely and collaboratively with the Organising Committee responsible for delivering the Games.

Commonwealth Games England is responsible for preparing and delivering the England Team at the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games. The Sport Manager will report to, and work closely with, Commonwealth Games England’s Head of Performance and Sport Engagement on a number of key Games Delivery projects for both the 2021 Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham supporting the preparation of the team. The Sport Manager must have a level of flexibility as the working environment and remit changes each month as Games time nears and an engaging manner in their approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
