Salary: Circa £43,911 per annum
Location of post – Can be home based but will require regular visits to the team at Caernarfon office, as well as travel required throughout Wales
Full time – flexible working is a requirement

Royal Yachting Association Cymru Wales is the Sport Wales national governing body for sailing and boating in Wales, and is the RYA's Council for Wales. We are seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. An exciting opportunity to provide executive direction to one of Wales’s leading sports governing bodies with a diverse range of boating activities.
RYA Cymru Wales is seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Chief Executive, to lead our small team of staff in the further development and delivery of our strategic objectives and secure the continuing success of our organisation.
Success will require building effective relationships with partners and funding organisations, pursuing potential sponsorship and commercial opportunities and representing the organisation to build on our existing successful base to maintain and move the sport and organisation forward.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing people, finance, budgets and projects and of increasing profile and income. The ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and volunteers, together with excellent organisational, planning and communication skills is essential. An awareness of contemporary issues in sports governance and experience of the sports that RYA Cymru Wales represents would be an advantage. Due to the wide range of partnerships linked to this position the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is considered desirable.
