National Talent-Development Coordinator (Endurance)

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000

Location: Cardiff, NIAC Cyncoed or home based

Continuing on from our success at the recent Commonwealth Games we are looking for a person with a thorough understanding of the sport of Athletics to take responsibility for driving our national and regional talent development programmes across Wales.

Welsh Athletics prioritises investment into coaching communities, the majority of whom are volunteers. Having the skills and understanding to support these valued volunteers is fundamental for success in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity in a role which will be fully integrated into the Welsh Athletics Performance team at the start of a four-year cycle of preparations ahead of Birmingham 2022.

Reporting to the National Coach, the successful candidate will coordinate the on-going development of endurance running across Wales.

The role will manage a team of National and Regional coordinators, manage a programme budget and work with the National Coach to build a high-performance culture, in tune with the values and objectives of Welsh Athletics.
