Partnership Co-ordinator

About Us

Wheelchair Rugby GB Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) is the national governing body for the sport of wheelchair rugby in the home nations of England, Scotland, and Wales, and for Great Britain at Paralympic Games.

A full member of World Wheelchair Rugby and of the British Paralympic Association, GBWR delivers an elite performance programme which includes GB and pathway teams which take part in international tournaments including the WWR World and European Championships, World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge, and Paralympic Games.

GBWR also manages a domestic league providing competition across three disciplines and provides a junior programme for young people from aged eight years old. Wheelchair rugby is the only mixed-gender Paralympic team sport. The sport grown five-fold since the London 2012 Olympics, with GB winning Gold at the Tokyo Paralympics watched by over one million viewers. GB is currently ranked 4th in the World.

It is our vision to be the showcase disability sport in the UK by 2028. We want to grow the sport building a vibrant community, breaking down barriers on and off the court, delivering opportunities for all and a pipeline of world-class talent.

We want to grow conversations around disability sport and inspire more people to get involved. This newly created role provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to play a pivotal role in helping us achieving this ambition

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic partnership co-ordinator to support our partnership efforts on a part-time basis. The partnership co-ordinator will assist in maintaining existing partnerships and identifying new opportunities to support the growth and sustainability of Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby.

Key responsibilities

1. Support existing partnerships:

- Assist in managing communication with current partners, including responding to inquiries and requests in a timely manner.

- Help co-ordinate partnership activation activities, such as arranging promotional events and delivering partner benefits.

2. Research and prospecting:

- Conduct research to identify potential partnership opportunities, including corporate sponsors, local businesses, and community organizations.

- Assist in compiling information and creating presentations or proposals for prospective partners.

- Participate in outreach efforts to initiate contact with potential partners and introduce them to Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby.

3. Administrative support:

- Maintain accurate records of partnership activities, including contact information, agreements, and communications.

- Assist in preparing reports and presentations to track partnership performance and outcomes.

- Provide general administrative support to the partnership team, such as scheduling meetings and managing documents.
