About the Role
The role will commence in October 2024 and the successful candidate will be appointed for an initial term of 4 years which may be renewed once for a total of 2 terms. It is expected that the Chair will commit up to the equivalent of 20 days per year.
This will include 4 Board meetings, regular liaison with Board Members and the Accountable Officer of the Lead Home Nation, maintaining key relationships e.g. with UK Sport and other stakeholders, acting as spokesperson for GB Badminton as necessary and attending events in an ambassadorial capacity.
Meetings will take place at the National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes, English Institute of Sport, Sheffield or online. While the role is non-remunerated, GB Badminton will reimburse expenses for Board and ambassadorial activities both at home and abroad
