Events & Technical Officer

About the Role

As Events and Technical Officer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with organisations who deliver events and programmes to grow triathlon and swim, bike, run. You will have responsibility for providing support and guidance to a range of stakeholders, as well administrative responsibility for the permitting of triathlon events and accreditation of programmes.

We’re searching for someone who is keen to learn about our sport, has the capacity to pick up new skills rapidly, and has the ability to build and maintain positive relationships – both within the team and across our wide range of partners at British Triathlon. Although there are some technical aspects to the role (for which training will be provided), strong organisational and interpersonal skills will be key. You will be working in a highly collaborative and supportive, but often busy, environment.

The role will blend desk-based tasks, reviewing and processing, alongside providing support to a wide range of stakeholders, with a hands-on approach working ‘in the field’. Our new Events & Technical Officer will report into Event Services Manager.

The successful candidate will be an integral and valued member of the Events and Technical team, working within a small team of very friendly colleagues – the culture across British Triathlon is very supportive. The Events & Technical team sit within the Development Directorate, so you will also have a wider role and interest in the growth of participation and diversity in British Triathlon.

About You

The role will benefit from our successful hybrid working model, where Tuesday to Thursday all colleagues work from our Loughborough head office, providing a supportive, collaborative, and fun working environment, with flexible working on Mondays and Fridays.
