The Association for Physical Education (afPE), the subject association for physical education in the United Kingdom, is seeking an exceptional and proven leader to join as Chair of the charity.
Our future Chair will share our passion for the power of physical education, school sport and physical activity to transform lives, and have an understanding of, and access to important networks or contacts in the education, sport and physical activity sector. The individual will also be committed to equality and diversity and our charitable objectives.
The successful applicant will join the organisation at a time of significant opportunity. Whilst the coronavirus pandemic has presented many challenges, our membership base has increased significantly over the last 18 months, and our relationships and standing with sector partners and government departments continues to be excellent. The Chair will lead the development of a new strategic plan for the organisation to ensure we continue to work towards our organisational purpose within the political, social and economic climate.
