Purpose of the post:

As House of Sport Communications and Operations Officer you will be responsible for supporting the House of Sport Operations Manager with the continuing development of the House of Sport community. Following our agreed strategy, you will lead on communications and engagement events.  The House of Sport Operations Team is also responsible for ensuring the office spaces on Levels 3 and 4, and shared space on Level 5 are clean, safe, and user-friendly so, as part of this dynamic team, you will be assisting with this day to day work and the coordination of contractors and service providers.

Main activities and responsibilities

  1. Lead on creating the content for our internal and external communications channels (existing and potential) including creating the copy for our newsletters and maintaining the communications schedule to maximise the success of our engagement opportunities
  2. Developing, facilitating, and leading on House of Sport events; monthly Themed Briefings, training and development opportunities, networking events, monthly inter-house sporting events, and any ad-hoc external events that require support
  3. Reviewing and analyzing engagement levels of our communication channels for HoS KPIs using software analytics
  4. Developing and maintaining our Brand Guidelines
  5. Operational support to London Sport including managing IT and office budget
  6. Maintaining the House of Sport Distribution Lists on CRM in accordance with best practice and GDPR guidelines
  7. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the House of Sport Residents and support all potential customers through communications and nurturing all sales leads generated via our external channels through to close
  8. Proactively and effectively deal with any day to day issues and ensuring House of Sport’s facilities are fully operational, including supporting the House of Sport Operations Manager in liaising with the Landlord and facility suppliers in the absence of the House of Sport Operations Manager
  9. Support House of Sport Operations Manager implement new procedures, services, or ideas
  10. Carry out duties and responsibilities of the post at all times in compliance with London Sport’s policies
  11. Undertake any other duties deemed relevant by either the House of Sport Operations Manager or Director of Finance and Governance
