What is the Sport and Recreation Alliance

The Sport and Recreation Alliance is the umbrella body for sport and recreation in the UK and represents more than 300 members – organisations like The FA, the Rugby Football Union, British Athletics, the Ramblers, British Rowing and the Exercise Movement and Dance Partnership.

Our role, like every trade association, is to speak up on their behalf, represent their views and to provide them with services which make their life easier.

The Sport and Recreation Alliance was formally known as the CCPR or the Central Council of Physical Recreation. We are a company limited by guarantee No 474512. Registered in England and Wales.
