CCPR members get terrestrial TV opportunity

CCPR is working with the Media Trust to make a series of short sports shows promoting grassroots sport. The shows will be broadcast on the terrestrial broadcaster Five in the autumn.

We are now looking for events and stories that will enable Media Trust to produce 3-4 minute features about particular sports.

To make these as viewer-friendly as possible we need access to engaging personalities participating in eye-catching locations. We could tell stories about people’s inspiring histories; quirky goings on within sports; interesting events amongst other things.

This is a great opportunity to get your sport onto TV, at no cost to your organisation, and to get hold of valuable, high quality, professionally-produced video of your activity which governing bodies could freely use at events or on their websites. Most importantly of all, we also hope it will generate interest and participation in the featured sports.

We are expecting a high level of interest in this project but don’t let that put you off from submitting your idea. We need as many as possible and the Media Trust will pick the best.

To get your sport onto TV or to find out more about this amazing opportunity, contact Richard Norman at CCPR on 020 7976 3927 or rnorman@ccpr.org.uk.

The Media Trust has a four-week window to film stories between Monday 23 August and Friday 17 September. (This can be extended until Friday 24th September if necessary). There will be a second wave of filming in October to produce films for broadcast in November.
