Following on from the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Sport and Recreation Alliance has been working hard to ensure that our voice is heard in the media on a number of topical issues.
We’ve made front pages and been featured across broadcast, digital and print media covering issues from playing fields and volunteering to red tape and club taxation.
After such a successful Olympics, a key priority for the Alliance is to continue the current momentum and ensure that sport and recreation benefits from the Olympic legacy in the long term.
This very much hinges on creating the right environment in which sport can thrive which is why our policy work and research focuses on certain key areas where we can really make a difference.
We're now looking to continue our campaigning and raising awareness of the issues that matter on behalf of our members and the sport and recreation sector as a whole, both in this Olympic year and beyond.
