About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team providing finance and office support and general administration of the Grounds Management Association (GMA).

Reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Finance Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in maintaining the purchase ledger register, departmental authorisation, coding, checking expense claims.

• Reconcile company credit card statements, obtaining missing receipts, departmental authorisation, allocation of ledger and VAT coding.

• Issue sales ledger statements and follow-up to ensure invoices are paid on time.

• Assist with bank reconciliations

• Monitor email inboxes and deal with incoming communications in a timely and efficient manner.

• General administration duties

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 2+ year accounts experience, including proficiency in using accounting software and knowledge of bank reconciliations and bookkeeping.

• General office administration/business support experience with a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office especially Excel.

You will be flexible, with good organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to work on your own initiative. You will have good time management skills and be capable of multi-tasking and responding to variable workloads and competing demands.

You must be able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy and respect confidentiality and have good numeracy skills and attention to detail.

This is a new part-time role, working 18.5 hours per week, the exact working pattern could be flexible over 3-4 days. The role will be based in the Milton Keynes head office with occasional home working as agreed. The Organisation
