About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, this appointment to the senior leadership team would suit an experienced lawyer (8 years+) with an in-house or private practice background, to be the legal expert and trusted advisor to England Golf.

Interest is welcomed from those with commercial litigation/regulatory backgrounds as well as the more typical commercial or corporate background.

You will be the first point of contact for all legal matters, finding commercial solutions and having a results-orientated approach. You will also manage the legal and governance team. The role of Legal and Governance Director reports to the Chief Executive and will need to have an understanding of commercial contracts, regulatory frameworks, risk management and litigation

The role also advises on IP, GDPR and data protection along with property matters, and will be supported by external counsel. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the highest standards of legal and safeguarding are achieved and maintained, including legal contracts, compliance and disciplinary matters and all reasonable and appropriate governance support to golf facilities and county bodies is provided.

This is a full-time position based at the National Golf Centre, The Broadway, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.
