About Boccia England
We are the national governing body (NGB) for boccia in England and a registered charity. We have the responsibility to govern the sport of boccia, grow participation, benefit people’s lives, and these three things have always been at our heart. Our work has a profound impact on improving the physical and emotional well-being of children and adults with disabilities.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Head of Sport to help us develop and grow our boccia community infrastructure, along with the development of agreed partnerships to create more opportunities for people to have a positive experience of boccia through playing and participation across all levels. This is a new role designed to help us best achieve our strategic ambitions.
As Head of Sport, you will be responsible for:
• Growing the boccia community infrastructure and building a successful sporting pathway for boccia through both competitions and talent development.
• Fostering an environment where players, coaches and volunteers prosper, thrive, and acquire the required skills and positive experiences in the sport.
• Collaborating with key partners that help create more opportunities to gain experience boccia.
We are a small and dynamic team that provides opportunities for everyone to gain a positive experience of boccia. We are seeking someone who is organised with the ability to manage multiple areas of work through the team to help ensure we continue to grow and develop our sport. Ideally you will also have experience and understanding of disability sport. We want to hear from people who can make a positive contribution to our charity and will bring new ideas and insight.
