Support us in creating a world leading sport system that reaches, inspires and engages all young people – whatever their age or ability. You will work strategically with network leads across the national programmes of the School Games and Barclays FA Girls Partnerships within your region, to support them in attaining national strategy objectives at a local level. You will engage and work with schools and educators across a region, equipping them to maximise their development of PE and school sport and show them how sport can improve wellbeing and raise achievement. You will be expected to increase our influence into schools (particularly those from areas of disadvantage) through relationships and our advocacy networks working with them to understand the benefits of being part of YSTs School Engagement and membership networks.

Much of your success will depend on you winning support from colleagues, influential network leaders, schools and other organisations. You, therefore, must be able to express yourself persuasively in speech and writing, with the authority of impressive experience. A background of working in Education or Sports Development is essential, your background should encompass providing development support to schools and implementing national educational programmes at a regional level. You certainly need to be familiar with education and sport policy, and the organisations that can help schools develop PE and sport.

You will be used to providing high level development support to education/sport organisations as well as implementing and managing strategies that contribute to the development of an organisation to effectively deliver outcomes. You also have to know how to develop and use PE and sport to bring about positive outcomes for young people.

In return you will get to join a dynamic and energetic charity passionate about improving children’s lives where all staff are given the opportunity to engage in the leadership and direction of the organisation. Our values of trust, responsibility, integrity and partnership working underpin everything we do, and we pride ourselves on a work culture which fosters innovation, creativity and personal passion.
