Senior Physiotherapist (working with British Canoeing - Slalom)

Role Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced physiotherapist to take on a lead role in the development and delivery of athlete health services in canoe slalom. The successful applicant will provide highly advanced and specialised musculoskeletal physiotherapy support services to World Class Programme athletes (~20) in the lead up to Paris 2024 and beyond. Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary athlete support team, this role will require the successful applicant to proactively establish and deliver relevant strategies which optimise athlete health and wellbeing, minimise time-loss and maximise on water performance. They will be required to work across all boat classes (Canoe, Kayak and Extreme Slalom) in both men’s and women’s events and share philosophy and best practice across a wider support team.

We believe in a supportive environment where we can safely challenge ourselves and each other and one where we can push boundaries for achieving world leading performances. There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the team behind the team. The successful candidate will be accountable for the delivery of world-leading physiotherapy and health service provision across WCP athletes based at LVWWC and will lead the delivery of athlete management and rehabilitation strategies across the wider interdisciplinary support team.
