This is an exciting time to get involved with The ABRS+ (The Association of British Riding Schools, Livery Yards and Equestrian Centres) which is a registered charity at the heart of Riding and Equestrianism. Our role is to act as a professional association for the proprietors of professional equestrian establishments, represent their interests and raise standards with professional staff training, professional development, client management and equine welfare.
The ABRS+ are currently seeking new members for the Board of Directors.
We are developing the benefits to members and to strengthen the Trustee Board we are seeking to recruit people who have experience, skills and expertise in the following areas:
- Finance and Accountancy
- Fundraising and Business Development
- Social Media Management
Trustees do not necessarily need to have an equestrian background, although this may be beneficial.
Board meetings are held four times a year in London or Peterborough, other time commitments will include working from home on particular projects. There are virtual Board Meetings monthly requiring a regular time commitment. Although this is a voluntary position, trustees can claim reasonable expenses.
