We’re pleased to share that Energize will be recruiting a Green Social Prescribing Officer to work jointly with Shropshire Wildlife Trust, across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
Our partnership (which includes Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council), is aiming to use our knowledge, connections, skills and passion to help build the bridge between social prescribers, health systems and local green activities to wellbeing. We know that many in our communities face additional barriers to accessing their green spaces, which can vary from a fishing trip along the river, to a walk around a local park or neighbourhood.
Locally funded, the project has also received funding from Sport England’s Tackling Inequalities Fund and NHS Charities Together – we’re really excited that Captain Sir Tom Moore’s steps will be funding us to help local people get outside again.
We’re seeking a proactive individual who can build relationships with diverse groups in our communities.
