The EIS and British Rowing are seeking to appoint a Performance Data Lead to drive forward the effective use of Performance Data in developing world beating Olympic and Paralympic rowers.
Rowing is a sport which has a wealth of performance data. From on-water metrics to athletes physiology there is a huge volume of data points that could be used to reveal our next competitive advantage.
We are looking for someone to help us find that competitive advantage. You will have a passion for, and expertise in, performance data and analytics alongside the ability to understand performance problems in an elite sport environment and help answer our biggest questions.
You will lead the development and implementation of the British Rowing Performance Data Strategy with the aim of developing solutions, capabilities, and people that bring data to life in ways that give new and novel insight into rowing performance.
The role will report to the Head of Performance Support and be an important member of the performance support team, with your work having impact throughout the British Rowing World Class Programme.
Working full time within British Rowing and employed through the EIS you will have the benefit of being a fully embedded practitioner in rowing, whilst also having the support of Technical Leadership as well as a group of peers doing similar roles from across the world of high performance support to drive on the development of practice.
