CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Dorset County Football Association Limited is looking to appoint a Chair to lead the Board of Directors from 1 July 2021. Applications are invited from members from our football family together with independents who do not have involvement in football at the present time. We are looking for a person who has excellent leadership skills in order to develop, support and govern the game of football across Dorset.
The Association was formed in 1887 and became a Company Limited by Guarantee in 1999. It is one of 47 County FA’s in England who all contribute to the Grassroots Strategy of The Football Association.
This is an exciting time as we look to develop our Business Plan and Operational Plan for the 2021-2024 Seasons and we are working towards compliance with the FA Code of Governance.
The Association provides football opportunities, whether in playing, administration, refereeing or coaching, for anyone who wishes to take part regardless of gender, ethnicity or disability.
Our priorities going forward is to maintain our 800 teams, remain in a sound financial position and develop the support roles that enable everyone to participate in our beautiful game of football.
The Association is hoping to attract applications from a diverse pool of applicants. This is a voluntary role although expenses will be met.
