Research and Insight Lead

  • Location: West Midlands
  • Organisation: Activity Alliance
  • Salary: Circa £35,000
  • Closing Date: 19 October 2020 | Strategy & Research

Activity Alliance is extremely proud of its work so far in building an extensive portfolio of insight on disabled people in sport and activity.

It is an exciting time for the national charity, including working on a new strategy. In collaboration, the goal is to close the fairness gap between disabled and non-disabled people’s activity levels in the next generation. Activity Alliance’s role will be to embed inclusive practice and change attitudes towards disabled people in sport and activity.

This is a key role that involves creative thinking and strategic planning with internal and external stakeholders. Alongside the Research and Evaluation Advisor who you will manage, you will act as an expert resource for our teams and key partners. Your work will maintain and present evidence that relates to disabled people’s lives, their motivations, and the barriers to being active. Then, find accessible, innovative ways to present findings to a range of audiences.

You will be able to demonstrate that you have the professional skills, experience, and ability to work closely with a range of people. You will be skilled in conducting and analysing research. An excellent communicator, you understand the importance of how to reach and influence key audiences inclusively.

You will have a relevant degree level and/or professional qualifications and a minimum of five years’ experience in a research role.

You will be part of the dynamic and innovative Activity Alliance team responsible for growing the charity’s impact.

Combined with your professional ability, you will have the drive and enthusiasm to strengthen the organisation. You will champion inclusion of disabled people in sport and activity.

We offer 26 days of annual leave, including Birthday leave, plus bank holidays. Other benefits include pension contributions, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme and Activity and Wellness Scheme.
