Snowsport England are the National Governing Body for Snowsport in England. Our vision is Inspiring participation in Snowsport at every Level.

The new Chair of Snowsport England will be a charismatic and courageous leader, with the ability to build strong relationships and win trust. Respecting the Vision and Mission of Snowsport England while working with Board and CEO to forge a compelling future and identity for our sport will be key. The appointee will be a modern thinker committed to striving for the highest standards. In this outward-facing role, the Chair must also be a skilled communicator who can win the respect and confidence of all constituencies, binding the Snowsport community together behind a common purpose and ensure that our sport continues to thrive.

The Chair will also support and, where appropriate, challenge the Chief Executive and ensure that the Board functions as a unit and works together to achieve agreed objectives. He or she will act as an ambassador and the public face of SE and help to engage with the membership and volunteers in partnership with the Chief Executive.

In addition, the Chair will be required to ensure that SE meets the governance requirements for compliance with the mandatory Code for Sports Governance.

This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting and dynamic sport. Elite athletes have had the best ever results across all disciplines last season and the prospect of a hugely successful winter Olympics in 2022 which we could embrace and use to drive increased membership and participation in Snowsport.
