British Swimming is seeking a Communications Officer to join our Events & Communications team based in Loughborough, reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager.
The purpose of the role is to pro-actively deliver day-to-day communications, supporting the delivery of the wider communications and marketing strategy. The Communications Officer will be responsible for supporting our communications output across web and print, promoting our key aquatics sports both day to day and around major national and international events.
The individual will have knowledge and experience of PR and communications, ideally within a sporting setting. They will have a successful track record of delivering accurate and informative communications to both an internal and external audience, and be able to show creativity & innovation in showcasing our sports.
The post holder is required to have outstanding written and verbal communication, strong organisational skills with a flexible approach to working, an ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as being able to work well as part of a small team.
Knowledge of aquatic sports and experience of working within a government funded organisation would be advantageous.
