More About The Foundation

We believe lacrosse is a fantastic game and we want to help more people enjoy our great sport, whether that be through playing, coaching, officiating or volunteering.

While we are an independent charity, to help us deliver our vision and mission we work closely with a range of stakeholders across the lacrosse community in England, Scotland and Wales.

Our vision is that: Lacrosse is accessible to all and played in every corner of Great Britain.

Our aims and objectives are to:

  • Promote community participation in lacrosse;

  • Assist in providing facilities for lacrosse;

  • Advance the education of young people in the sport of lacrosse.

The charity was originally founded in 2006 to assist the Blues Lacrosse Club in raising money to support an initiative to teach lacrosse in a local school partnership. The charity was relaunched as The Lacrosse Foundation in 2018 and now has assets of around £900,000 which we intend to use for the benefit of lacrosse.

Management

The meetings of the trustees will take place in Central London. Meetings may take place in other locations to build relationships with other lacrosse stakeholders. They will take place quarterly with two of the meetings involving our London based investment manager.

Further meetings may be called as needed. As far as possible, technology will be used to reduce the need for physical meetings.
