National Women's Football Development Officer

Salary: Circa £28,000 per annum

Location: Nationwide

An exceptional opportunity has arisen within AoC Sport as we recruit a National Women’s Football Development Officer in partnership with the Football Association.

In this role you will be working collaboratively with the AoC Sport staff team and wider partners to grow female participation in football through FE communities; with a focus on 16 to 19-year-old students. You will manage the Women’s Football Apprentice network to get more females active through football in line with the ECFA National Strategy 2017-21, contributing towards the FA Women’s Strategy: Game Plan for Growth. You will build strong internal and external relationships to grow college, further education and community football under the organisation’s football brand, ECFA, and report impact to the ECFA Committee and The Football Association (FA).

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for women and girls’ football and its growth in association with the development of young people. We are seeking an individual with experience of managing projects on a large scale as the successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of national projects and strategic plans to develop high quality football and futsal pathways for young women. You will demonstrate the ability to work independently and under your own initiative; and will also be effective in working in a team, generating and contributing ideas to meetings and have the discipline to see plans through to successful conclusion.  Effective interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication and good presentation skills are essential for this role. Additionally, you will have a flexible approach to your work, a positive outlook and an outcome focused approach to problem solving.

This role will involve travel across England to deliver events and training or attend meetings with occasional overnight stays.
