Job Summary

About the LTA:

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is the National Governing Body for tennis in Great Britain, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, and is responsible for developing and promoting the sport while safeguarding the integrity of tennis. The vision for The Lawn Tennis Association is “tennis opened up”; and the mission for all those involved in delivering this vision to grow tennis by making it relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable.

About the role:

We are passionate about having a sport that is diverse as well as welcoming and accessible to everyone from all backgrounds, especially for people with a disability. As our Disability Development Manager you’ll be our expert advisor on how our sport can be more inclusive and how we can grow the number of disabled people playing, coaching and volunteering in tennis.

About you:

You will have a natural ability to build effective relationships with everyone; leading and inspiring people to follow key identified actions to ensure tennis is opened up and that there are choices for people with a disability to get involved. You must have a passion about the benefits of being active and equality and diversity within sport.

Our people:

We thought you may like to hear directly from the team the things they love most about working at the LTA.

‘The opportunity to make a difference, plus the freedom to put forward ideas and implement them, is a really attractive quality that is supported in this organisation.’ – Jill Osleger

Having a sport that is so adaptable is fantastic, we can use this to make it more accessible to a wider more diverse audience. There is real interest from tennis venues, providers and coaches to engage with people with a disability which is great.’ Matt Elkington our Disability Development Partner in the North & Midlands

Our location:

Based in leafy Roehampton, you will be based at the vibrant National Tennis Centre.  If the sound of a game of Tennis or a Lunch time run (or stroll) in Richmond Park appeals then this could be all you need to energise and refocus to enable you to give your best. Don’t live in London? No problem! We have a flexible range of options for roles which are based here but involve national travel.

Our culture:

We offer a competitive benefits package and a positive culture underpinned by our values (Passion, Teamwork, Excellence, and Integrity). We are passionate about our people and take individual needs seriously whether it is a request for flexible working or support with how best to make the most of working at the LTA.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds, especially anyone with a disability, as we believe a diverse workforce is fundamental to achieving great things – our people make the real difference.

If you require assistance in completing your online application please contact us at recruit@lta.org.uk and a member of our People Team will answer your query as soon as possible.
