Campaigns & Engagement Officer
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The Ramblers is the only charity dedicated to looking after paths and green spaces, leading walks, opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
We are recruiting a campaigns and engagement officer to develop and deliver effective and innovative campaigns that support the Ramblers’ mission. In this role you will engage with supporters and the wider public on campaigns. You will recruit, support and develop a network of campaign volunteers so that the Ramblers’ campaigning priorities can be delivered positively and effectively at national, regional and local levels. As a passionate campaigner for change, you will keep abreast of developments in the campaigning sector and be keen to try new approaches.

Essential requirements include:
- A proven track record of working with and supporting volunteers.
- A strong communicator with the ability to transform complex issues and policy approaches into simple messages.
- Ability to contribute creative ideas and ‘out of the box’ thinking.
- Strong digital skills and experience.
Previous experience of campaigning and/or experience of influencing local or national government would be ideal, but not essential. The right person will have a passion for campaigning for change and a willingness to learn new skills.
