Coach Development Manager

Salary: £32,000 to £40,000

Location: Cardiff,  NIAC Cyncoed or CISC Leckwith

Athletics in Wales is built on a foundation of passionate and dedicated volunteers. We have identified the need for additional support for the development of the coaching community across Wales. 

The Coach Development Manager will play a key role in ensuring every Coach in Wales has access to relevant development opportunities, be it a coach beginning his or hers journey through the first steps of the formal education process, or a coach who will work with the best athletes in the Country.

The successful applicant will have a passion for coaching and developing people, and will work closely with the Education Administrator to ensure the education and development pathways are aligned.

The Coach Development Manager will play a key role in supporting the Performance and Development leads in ensuring that the sports coaches have the right skills and knowledge as we start the journey to Birmingham 2022. 

Overall purpose of the role

Reporting to the National Coach, the successful candidate will be the strategic and operational lead on Coach Education and Development across Wales. The role will manage an Education and Training Administrator and set and manage all budgets relating to this area of work.
