Compliance Case Officer/Paralegal
Salary: Competitive, dependent upon experience
Location: Based at the British Canoeing Head office, National Watersports Centre, Nottingham
Contract: Part Time (30 Hours per week)
British Canoeing is seeking to appoint a dedicated and adaptable team member with a ‘can do’ and solution focused approach, to join its team and to support the Head of Governance and Compliance with efficient and effective management of safeguarding cases, disclosure checks, disputes and disciplinary cases.
Working alongside British Canoeing colleagues, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of safeguarding case management, Disclosure and Barring Service checks (DBS) and case management of disputes and disciplinary as and when required.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a level of legal knowledge, experience and skills in the key areas – safeguarding, disputes and disciplinary. You must have outstanding communication and organisational skills and the ability to take individual responsibility for cases from concept to completion. An awareness and understanding of appropriate sport sector legislation and developments and a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable.
