Hours: 18 hrs per week

Suggested working pattern: 4 days of 4.5 hours/p day or 18 hrs spread over 5 days (to be discussed during interviews)

Outline

Badminton Wales are seeking a self-starter with the commitment and drive required to deliver the Badminton Wales Strategy. With overall responsibility for the day to day operations of Badminton Wales, this individual will have the critical people skills to manage a small and passionate team in delivering our mission to grow the sport of badminton across Wales.

Main Purpose of the Job:

· Responsible for the effective and positive management of the Badminton Wales team

· Responsible for the Badminton Wales operations including the deployment of the right processes and systems to maximise resources and ensure alignment to the Badminton Wales strategy 

Specific Duties of the Post

· Overall responsibility for running the day to day operations of Badminton Wales which includes:

· Ensure the company operates effectively and according to company values

· Develop work programmes with all staff in line with the business needs and strategy and work with staff in monitoring and reporting on progress

· Deliver performance management to all staff organising effective 1-2-1s, annual appraisals and performance reviews

· Work collaboratively with the Performance Manager & National Coach to ensure the business functions are aligned to the badminton system in Wales

· Assign and monitor the delivery of office administration functions

· Supporting the Events & Marketing Officer in deploying the annual events and communications plan

· Under the guidance of the Board of Directors coordinate the completion of all grant application forms and self-assurance annual assessment

· Deliver monthly and annual progress reports to the Board of Directors including financial reporting

· Work with the Board of Directors and the Performance Manager & National Coach to increase the number of commercial investment agreements

· Ensure procedures and company policies are adhered to including, but not limited to; complaints policy, safeguarding members policy, expenses policy, leave policy, financial procedures

· Manage safeguarding investigations and process

· Financial management as signatory

· Quality assurance of invoices and claim forms as prepared by the Finance Officer

· Manage and respond to correspondence, overseeing and dealing with complaints and general enquiries

· Designing and deploying filing systems maximising the use of SharePoint and other cloud based solutions

· Review and approve supply requisitions including third party systems used by the company

· You may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with your grade at the directive of the Board of Directors 

Experience

· Experience in developing and implementing business plans and strategies that translate into day to day delivery

· Demonstrable experience in leadership and management of a multi skilled team

· Working experience of budget development and managing expenditure against a tight budget

· Demonstrable competence in Microsoft applications such; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

· Experience in delivering work to an organisation’s policies and procedures and ensuring other’s do the same

· Experience in producing reports and developing plans and tracking progress against plans for self and others

· Experience in successfully achieving key performance indicators

· Proven commercial experience or understanding

· Experience in introducing and managing change successfully
