Assistant Aquatics Competition Manager
Contract: Full Time - Fixed Term (August 2018)
Location: Glasgow
British Swimming is seeking an Assistant Aquatics Competition Manager for the Glasgow 2018 European Championships, to help plan, organise, manage and conduct the aquatics competition and related services. The role reports into the Aquatics Competition Manager.
The successful individual will have knowledge and proven experience of aquatics competitions, event management, operations and logistics, at a national and international level, and project management experience within the sport/event sector. Previous experience of recruiting and managing volunteers and officials, as well as working with broadcasters in the delivery of international aquatics events, are essential requirements.
The post holder is required to be a self-sufficient individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, a flexible approach to working, an ability to work under pressure, be enthusiastic and able to influence.
Knowledge of the LEN rules and structure of the European Federation, qualification system, British Swimming and international sport would be advantageous.
