The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in less than 9 months and we want to support you, as our members though this journey.

Drawing upon the expertise of our contributing partners our one day FREE GDPR event will take place from 9am (8:30am registration) till 4pm.

You'll attend four workshops throughout the day, each will focus on a different aspect of GDPR concluding with a Q&A session.

Over the course of the day our experts will be covering:

  • Covering the four pillars to compliance; discover, manage, protect and report, Microtrading will look at the implications of GDPR on your IT systems.
  • They will provide examples of the work they are already doing with sports organisations (including the Alliance) to highlight the impact of GDPR on the sector.
  • The Microtrading team will also focus on why you should consider certifying your organisation to a security standard and how you can make the most of your budgets when doing so.

  • Focusing on the insurance aspects of GDPR, Howden will look at the vulnerability of organisations to data breaches, and how you can protect your organisation through training and technological solutions.
  • They will talk you through what you should be considering within your insurance policies and what providers will (and won’t!) cover.
  • They will also provide examples from the sports sector of scenarios where insurers have had to step in.
