Sport Membership International 

Sports Membership International, founded by Emily McOrist, is a global network of national governing bodies, with organisations in the UK, US and Australia. The purpose of the network is to connect, learn and share best practice of lessons within membership. The Sport and Recreation Alliance provides secretariat support for it. If you would like to get involved then please email membership@sportandrecreation.org.uk

Development Directors Forum

The Alliance is secretariat for the Development Directors Forum, supporting those who hold this role throughout our membership. These are usually Sport England funded bodies or seeking to be funded. The group comes together several times a year to discuss key areas of work that influences them and their organisation. HR Network

The HR Network aims to bring together the HR representatives of national governing bodies and other sport stakeholders to provide opportunities to share information and seek support. The group provides an effective communication sharing network for HR professionals in sport to use, sharing and highlighting best practice for the benefit of all sports and activities.

Membership of the network is inclusive and therefore open to all HR professionals within NGBs in sport and recreation and other sport stakeholders.

The Network ordinarily meet three times a year, January/February, May/June and September/October and dates are set at the beginning of each year. However, the group has met virtually every other month during the course of the past year and as a group have decided to continue meeting virtually with only one face-to-face meeting a year. Outside of the meetings, members of the network can email each other for support and all contact information is shared only with members of the network.

The secretariat for the group is provided by Alex Wilkinson at the SRA. Should anybody wish to join the group they should email awilkinson@sportandrecreation.org.uk.
