Position Description

UGFC are seeking three enthusiastic and experienced individuals to support our motivated and collaborative Board of Trustees. As a member of the trust board you will need to be committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for the Charity.

We are particularly looking for professional expertise from the following areas: Football Industry Diversity & Inclusion Fundraising Digital Transformation Health & Wellbeing Educational Leadership

About the Company

Formed in 2011, United Glasgow FC has welcomed players from over 50 countries, making football accessible and affordable to over 300 players across a number of teams and community sessions. Our aim is to advance public participation in sport by providing affordable facilities, promoting the game of football, arranging matches and training activities and widening community participation in the game. To promote religious and racial harmony by bringing together individuals regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age and fitness to engage in educational and sporting initiatives. To promote equality and diversity by striving to actively combat all forms of discrimination in football through education and learning opportunities.

How to Apply

To apply to become a Trustee of United Glasgow FC please include a copy of your CV together with a supporting statement (maximum 500 words) explaining you’re experience and interest.

Closing date for applications is 30th July 2022.

We look to select exceptional Trustees based on the following:

    • Demonstrate passion and commitment to the charity, its objectives and cause
    • Self-awareness and emotional intelligence
    • Ability to commit time to conducting the role well
    • Commitment to developing and supporting relationships with the volunteer team
  • Representative and demographic fit

  • Professional expertise and experience
    • We aim to obtain a broad balance of expertise on our Board across all areas of the Charity’s business but specifically within the areas mentioned above
