British Dressage (BD) is the national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of dressage. We offer competition, training and participation activity for riders at all levels, from grassroots to elite level.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as our U21 Performance Manager. The Performance Manager will play an integral part in supporting BD’s Under 21 International Teams, overseeing the development of our riders over four levels (Pony, Children on Horses, Junior and Young Rider), including assisting riders with their annual training and competition programmes in a bid for selection.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage, motivate and foster positive relationships in order to deliver success, as well as highly effective organisational and administrative skills. They will already have experience of delivering sporting success at high performance level, with significant equestrian knowledge and a good understanding of dressage.

A key aspect of this role is being able to manage stakeholder relationships effectively, acting as the main point of contact for riders, parents, coaches, selectors and support staff. The role will be contracted for up to 40-45 days per annum, with an expectation of working weekends and undertaking significant travel abroad to assist athletes, coaches and support staff at key points in the competition calendar.

The deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 31 May 2021.
