Community Activator Manchester
- Salary - £100 per day (flexible hours);
- Initially 8- 16 hours per week.
Sporting Equals is a national charity established to promote ethnic diversity in sport and physical activity. We are seeking an experienced activator in Manchester with local community links and an existing network to help support our projects.
You will have some understanding of working in the sport and voluntary sector supporting projects working in partnership with agencies along with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences. A passion for race equality is important and an understanding of community engagement and the key barriers facing ethnically diverse communities.
The ability to work independently to achieve KPIs, steer projects, create monthly reports and make decisions are all skills you take in your stride. You will have experience in community work and know how to successfully support and progress projects involving and working with both volunteers and local partner organisations.
A flexible approach to work is expected as evening and weekend working will be required.
