Chair of the Inclusion Advisory Board
The Dorset County Football Association Limited is looking to appoint a Chair to lead our Inclusion Advisory Board from 1 July 2021. Applications are invited from members of our football family together with independents who do not have involvement in football at the present time. The role of the Inclusion Advisory Board is to provide advice and guidance on all equality matters within the County FA and to provide strategic oversight of the delivery of its Operations Plan in a county-wide inclusive way, which includes all sections of the community. We would like our Chair to have significant knowledge and experience of operating at a strategic level in either the Public or Private sector and equally bring a breadth of experience and knowledge in equality matters.
The Association was formed in 1887 and became a Company Limited by Guarantee in 1999. It is one of 47 County FA’s in England who all contribute to the Grassroots Strategy of The Football Association.
This is an exciting, but challenging opportunity with the incentive of shaping our County FA’s inclusion work and positively impacting the landscape of football at every level.
The Association provides football opportunities, whether in playing, administration, refereeing or coaching, for anyone who wishes to take part regardless of gender, ethnicity or disability.
Our priorities going forward is to maintain our 800 teams, remain in a sound financial position and develop the support roles that enable everyone to participate in our beautiful game of football.
The Association is hoping to attract applications from a diverse pool of applicants. This is a voluntary role although expenses will be met.
