Regional Safeguarding Officer

The LTA is the National Governing Body of tennis for Great Britain. We are here to govern and grow tennis, from grassroots participation through to the professional game. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Safeguarding Team. As part of the Safeguarding Team, the Regional Safeguarding Officer plays a key role in continuously improving Safeguarding awareness and standards across tennis and in delivering the LTA Safeguarding Strategy (2021-23) by taking a pro-active approach to safeguarding and providing high quality auditing of venues and county associations. The Regional Safeguarding Officer also plays a key role in ensuring high safeguarding and casework standards and continuously improving safeguarding awareness across tennis.

We play an important part in ensuring the popularity and future of our sport. We’re here because we’re passionate about tennis; and we want to spread that passion across the nation. In order to achieve this, it must develop and implement the highest safeguarding standards across tennis.

You’ll have a solid background in a safeguarding role with considerable experience of implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of safeguarding policies and procedures as well as investigating cases. Prioritisation will be key to ensure that you can juggle the variety of demands this role brings. You will be passionate about safeguarding and be able to deliver informative training sessions to a diverse group of people. Establishing rapport and trust will be essential to be effective in this role as well has a high level of confidentiality to investigate and manage cases effectively.

This is a mobile role aligned to the North region, and you will vary between working from home and spending time visiting our venues and county associations. Given the mobile nature of the role you will need to be able to accommodate a flexible working pattern (evenings and weekends may be required) to meet business needs.
