The BMC is seeking a high calibre candidate for an exciting new role as Policy & Campaigns Officer for Wales. The role – which will ideally be South Wales based – will work closely with BMC staff and volunteers to promote the interests of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers within the Welsh Government and key agencies including NRW and Sport Wales.
The postholder will be an advocate for the BMC’s Manifesto for Wales which calls on politicians to ensure outdoor recreation and access to the coast and countryside is a key component of future public policy. The post will require an experienced policy professional or campaigner with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for climbing and hill walking.
