Membership Engagement Senior Administrator (Maternity Cover)

  • Location: South East
  • Organisation: Royal Yachting Association (RYA)
  • Salary: £23,000 per annum
  • Contract: 9-12 months
  • Closing Date: 16 December 2020 | Coaching & Sports Development

The RYA is a membership organisation, with a base of approximately 110,000 members to whom we provide a tailored service. People become members of the RYA for many different reasons. Their interests in boating span many different types of boat and many different levels of participation, from instructing and coaching, through racing, cruising and even just supporting. What they need and expect from the RYA can differ significantly. It is therefore important for the membership team to be deeply immersed in the needs and motivations of current and prospective members.

We are seeking a Membership Engagement Senior Administrator, to cover a period of maternity leave, and support the work of our Head of Membership in the recruitment, engagement and retention of members. This role has a dual reporting line to both the Head of Membership and the Director of Sport Development, as the postholder will be embedded in the Sport Development department to focus on raising awareness of RYA membership with those who are members of RYA Affiliated Clubs or who are introduced to boating through RYA participation programmes. This role also provides administrative support for reward partners and recruitment.

To be successful in this role you will need; good people skills, whether it’s in providing information, presenting, dealing with queries/problems or resolving disagreements; good organisation skills & attention to detail; and prior operational experience, preferably within a leisure or hospitality setting.

Proven operational experience of marketing disciplines with membership schemes would be an advantage.

To apply, please send your completed application form to Lisa Rogers at Lisa.Rogers@rya.org.uk by midday on Wednesday 16 December 2020.

Please note: we do not accept CVs in lieu of a completed application form.
