Corporate Fundraising and Events Manager

SportsAid is looking to appoint a Corporate Fundraising & Events Manager to propel its new business development plan and support its exciting growth. You will be a key part of the income generating team, developing new business opportunities and resources to help the talented young sports people that the charity supports. Reporting directly to the Head of Fundraising, you will support the implementation and delivery of SportsAid’s fundraising strategy and take responsibility for the delivery of the charity's key events.

This is an exciting and key role that directly impacts the lives of the talented young athletes that the charity supports. You will relish the opportunity to identify, meet and develop corporate relationships as part of a committed and driven team. You are an energetic, detail-orientated fundraiser with a passion to help young people. You have a background in the charity sector and more than likely have an interest in sport.

Based in central London with a national brief, you will be responsible for growing our corporate partnerships and ensuring that our events are a huge success! Your role activities will include: 

• New business development of corporate partnerships and major gift opportunities
• Account management of a number of SportsAid’s partnerships
• Project management of SportsAid Week - the charity’s fundraising campaign week
• Overseeing the charity’s strategy for challenge events
• Assist in the development of the stewardship journey

You should be educated to degree level (or recognised equivalent) with a least two years fundraising experience and a track-record in securing new revenue and in developing long-term partnerships within the commercial sector. You will be able to demonstrate experience of planning, managing and delivering large commercial events and the ability to report progress.

In addition, you will have excellent organisational and presentation skills, and be an effective communicator with lots of enthusiasm. Sound IT skills and a working-knowledge of database management and Excel is essential.

The salary is in the range of £28,000 to £32,000 p.a. for the right candidate; opportunities for flexible working are available.
