We provide advice, support and guidance to our members and the sector, who represent traditional governing bodies of games and sport, active partnerships, outdoor recreation, water pursuits, and movement and dance exercise. As the voice of the sector, we work with government, policy makers and the media to make sure grassroots sport and recreation grows and thrives. About you

 

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a Director of Policy, Governance and Finance who has an appetite to tackle some of the big policy challenges facing the sport and recreation sector and to support our members to become fit for the future. They will also be responsible for the smooth running of the financial, business development and corporate services of the Alliance and their remit will be to ensure those areas provide the strongest possible support to the organisation’s long term plans.

This will be a busy and varied role and represents a really good chance to make your mark. The environment is very positive and fun as you would expect in a sporting organisation, but we work hard.

As a member of our team, you’ll be doing everything you can to help deliver our strategy, lead the Alliance’s approach to income generation, lead the Alliance’s proactive and reactive policy work, lead the strategic development of governance support and services to our members. With the CEO, you will be leading the Alliance’s drive to position itself center stage as the thought leader for sport and recreation. You will also be contributing to the achievement of the Alliance’s business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy and overseeing the delivery of corporate services, ensuring the Alliance has processes, tools and a management culture that motivates and retains staff.
