The LTA’s vision is “Tennis Opened Up” and its mission is to make tennis Relevant, Accessible, Welcoming and Enjoyable. Our Performance Team at the LTA aims to become one of the most respected nations in the world for player development. We will do this by creating a pathway for champions that nurtures a diverse team of players, people and leaders.
The Men’s Tennis Team objective is to capture 5% of the ATP top 100 by 2028 and inspire the tennis audience. We will achieve this through:
- Developing an oversupply of players who meet the Pro Scholarship Programme selection criteria every year from 2022
- Our PSP players achieving their progression targets every year
The National Coach Men’s Tennis will be responsible for the development of designated National Age Group Programme players (aged 14+) and PSP players so they remain on trajectory to reach their agreed ranking goals and to have an oversight of players’ game development. The Men’s National Coach is also responsible for driving and developing a programme that helps produce robust and resilient competitors.
