Job Description
Mountain Training UK and Ireland is currently inviting applications for one director on our six-strong board. The directors share the responsibility for overseeing the management of the organisation and implementing the strategic objectives of its members.
Applications from people with personal experience of participating in climbing, walking or mountaineering activities are invited. Experience of Mountain Training skills courses and qualifications is not essential and applicants from other sport sectors who can bring in fresh ideas are welcome.
As part of our commitment to a diverse and skilled board, we are seeking individuals who can bring expertise or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

- Branding, brand recognition and protection
- Business finance and strategy
- Commercial and/or partnership development

Applicants should be able to demonstrate some experience of:
- working on or with committees
- organisational governance
- commercial or non-profit organisations
- working in one or more of the specialist areas listed above
Whilst no remuneration is available for the role of an independent non-executive director, all reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed in accordance with Mountain Training UK and Ireland’s expenses policy.
