Sports Development Team Manager (East/South-East)

England Golf are looking to recruit a Sports Development Team Manager (Partnership Manager) for the East/ South-East region to cover the counties of Essex, Kent, Greater London, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey and Sussex. The Partnership Manager is responsible for a team of 5 Club Support Officers across the East/South-East region.

You will support in the delivery of the England Golf strategic plan 2017-2021 and ensure this is being delivered effectively across the designated region. Partnership Managers work closely with County Unions, Associations and County Golf Development Groups on all aspects of golf development to implement the national strategy locally. They are required to lead, empower, deploy and performance manage the network of Club Support Officers to provide consistent club and county support across a region.

It is essential that applicants have a sound knowledge of: the structure of national, regional and county based sport; the structure of golf (general, club based and admin); sports development; club management and operations. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage, empower and influence. You will need to be able to build and sustain relationships with partners and work with professionals and volunteers. You must have management experience, outstanding communication to a wide range of audiences and strong organisational skills. 

The post is full-time (Monday – Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm core hours) but you may be required to travel/work weekends and evenings. The position is home based or can be located within a remote office. Applicants will need to live within the counties associated with this role (Essex, Kent, Greater London, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey and Sussex.)
