England Korfball is seeking an Operations and Logistics Lead as part of the Strategic International Committee and International Sub Committee.
Korfball is an attractive, fast moving, team sport played by men and women together. England Korfball’s vision for the sport is to ‘to boldly and creatively enable a growing korfball community to play, volunteer, enjoy and promote korfball’.
Our focus over the next five years will be to continue a path of sustainable growth in participation at all ages; of being bold, creative and innovative in our campaigns to raise awareness of korfball; of growing revenues to support our development priorities; and, above all, to continue to do what we do best; offer inclusive, enjoyable experiences to our members in clubs throughout England.
The role of the Operations and Logistics Lead is to manage and administrate all international and domestic events and competitions attended or hosted by England Korfball squads.
This role will sit on both the Strategic International Committee and International Committee. The Strategic International Committee will establish the strategic objectives every 6 months for the International Committee to implement.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Plan, in conjunction with the respective age group Lead Coaches, the annual competition programme, including competition preparation and training schedule.
- Plan and implement logistics of all national team activity including travel to and accommodation at domestic and international competitions, and training venues.
- Organise and implement domestic competitions, including booking venues, and distributing competition information to the England Korfball Squads, opposition teams and respective committees.
- To manage and support all squad Team Managers.
- Maintain an up to date competitions and performance calendar.
- Ensure all England Korfball policies and procedures are adhered to by all involved with the Internationals set up, and to follow correct procedures and reporting if not.
- Lead and coordinate the logistics relating to ordering and managing the EK squad kit.
- Work with the finance lead and Team Managers to ensure that budgeting and sign off processes are met, and that relevant payments are collected.
